Our client is a recently established investment management platform helmed by some of the most experienced and reputable Private Equity professionals in Asia. With entities in multiple cities (Singapore, China, India, Mauritius, Cayman Islands, etc), our client has successfully completed several notable deals including an IPO listing via a SPAC and raised several PE Funds from leading LPs among others.
With a slew of exciting initiatives lined up, the company is keen to expand its numbers and is now looking for a bright, motivated, and entrepreneurial individual to join their team as a Compliance and Finance manager. Based in Singapore, this is a high-visibility hybrid role that works closely with the CFO and Investment Team across several functions.
For the initial few months (up to a year), the role will focus on Compliance matters including:
Study the company’s compliance policies across multiple jurisdictions to consolidate everything into a centralized group-wide compliance manual.
Maintain the company’s compliance manual to ensure that internal compliance policies adhere to various regulatory requirements and guidelines.
Liaise with the regulators on regulatory compliance matters.
Work with internal stakeholders on AML/ KYC matters related to investors.
Subsequently, the role will have the chance to participate in investment deals of varying nature, providing fund/deal finance support and accounting advisory to the Investment Team together with the CFO. In a dynamic environment, the candidate will have the opportunity to be exposed to multiple facets of the deal-making process and develop as a well-rounded finance professional.
The candidate should come with at least 7 years of working experience gained in Compliance, Assurance, or/and advisory functions in the Financial Services Sector, ideally with exposure to Asset Management, Fund Management or Private Equity. Entrepreneurial personality who thrives in ambiguity are traits the candidate should possess. Finance professionals with a high level of numerical competency and are mature, meticulous, agile, and independent will be preferred. Superior written and spoken communication skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders across different geographies is a big plus.
